About this property

THE PROPERTY.
Hawk Lodge is an attractive detached bungalow which was built in the latter part of the 20th century and has cast stone elevations under a tiled roof. It was designed in a way to make the very most its beautiful position and gains superb views over the adjoining countryside which lies within the East Devon National Landscape. The property itself has well-proportioned rooms and worthy of particular mention is the stunning triple aspect sitting/dining room which has an oak floor, fireplace with wood burner and a door leading to the garden. The kitchen has been well-fitted and has plenty of room for a small table, and this opens into the large conservatory which runs along the majority of the rear elevation. There is also a porch/boot room and a spacious hallway with built in cupboards.

Hawk Lodge benefits from two double bedrooms, both of which have en-suite bath/shower rooms and there is also a separate cloakroom off the hallway.

OUTSIDE.
Hawk Lodge is situated in well-established gardens which extend to just over a quarter of an acre. The bungalow stands well off the small country lane and has an impressive pillared entrance with the driveway leading to a large gravelled parking area. This gives access to the integral double garage which has power, light and a Belfast sink, and to a delightful raised seating area. The gardens surround the property and have been planted with a great variety of well-established shrubs and trees. They take advantage of some superb far-reaching country views and benefit from several sheds and a greenhouse.

SITUATION.
Hawk Lodge is situated on the fringes of the popular village of Axmouth, which in turn is located only half a mile or so from the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline at Lyme Bay. Axmouth is a pretty village which lies on the side of the Axe Estuary, a wonderful location for wildlife and a bird watcher's paradise. Axmouth has two popular public houses, and the ancient Church of St Michael.

The Axe Estuary meets the sea at Seaton Harbour, which lies about half a mile from Axmouth. The desirable town of Seaton is a popular tourist destination, with a long esplanade and pebble beaches. It has an extensive variety of shopping and recreational facilities. This stretch of coastline is extremely picturesque and there are wonderful walks which include the South West Coastal Path from which there are magnificent views.

The busy market town of Axminster lies approximately 6 miles to the north and also has a wide variety of facilities and amenities together with a main line rail link to London Waterloo. The Cathedral City of Exeter is some 25 miles to the west and has excellent shopping and sporting facilities, theatres, cinemas, main line express rail link to London Paddington, international airport and M5 motorway access.

DIRECTIONS.
On the A3052 coastal road between the towns of Seaton and Lyme Regis, turn onto the B3172 at Boshill Cross signposted Axmouth and Seaton. On entering the village of Axmouth, continue around a right hand bend and take the left hand turning onto Chapel Street. Then take the third right hand turning onto Stepps Lane and Hawk Lodge will be found after about 400 yards on you right hand side.
