It is popular due to close proximity to the open moorland whilst only 20mins from the sea at Looe. The A38 is under 10mins away serving both Bodmin & Plymouth both within 30mins. The A30 at Launceston is only 20mins away. Regular buses run from Pensilva to Liskeard & Callington and Liskeard has a mainline rail station on the London Paddington to Penzance line.
The moors are literally at the top of the village and about a 10min walk away from the cottage. Pensilva has a doctors surgery, a village shop, highly regarded primary school & Millennium House which is the hub of the village. Millennium House has a gym, bar, library, Community coffee shop, sports hall & function room. Pensilva also has a youth and adult football club.
