4 Bedroom Town House

149 Kinder Road, known as Michaelmas Cottage, is a four bedroom family home in Hayfield, High Peak, right on the edge of the Peak District National Park.

The house is part of a Georgian terrace and has been extended twice, once in the Victorian period and again in the Edwardian era. This gives it early nineteenth century roots, with later period features woven throughout the property.

The Location

The property sits on Kinder Road in Hayfield, a rural village in the High Peak district of Derbyshire.

Hayfield lies at the foot of Kinder Scout and is within easy reach of Kinder Reservoir, the Snake Path and the Pennine Way. In one direction you can head towards Edale and the A57 Snake Pass, while the Sett Valley Trail runs close by.

The village offers coffee houses, delis, restaurants and everyday amenities, while maintaining a traditional rural feel. There are road and rail links providing access to Manchester and Sheffield.

The surrounding landscape includes wooded valley slopes, open moorland and established walking and cycling routes. Views from the property extend towards Kinder Low End and the wider Peak District scenery.
