There is also a separate bathroom with additional storage and a second bedroom.

Shakespeare’s Stratford-Upon-Avon is home to the pristine Margaret Court, situated just 2 miles from the town centre in the village of Tiddington. Developed in 2009, Margaret Court is the most recent addition to the Retirement Security family, and was chosen by our founder, Bob Bessell, as his home. Here, you can choose from 44 well equipped apartments and 6 bungalows, each bungalow having a garage and private garden.

Owners can relax and socialise in the communal lounge, or dining room where they can enjoy a delicious meal freshly prepared by the in-house catering team. These areas host a variety of entertainment for the Owners, from themed meals, film nights and birthday parties to keep-fit classes and cocktails on the patio! Margaret Court Owners can enjoy the hobbies room, often referred to as the library where board games can be played, new card games learnt or arts and craft skills refined. There are also communal gardens for the Owners to enjoy: bright and vibrant spaces that are especially beautiful when in full bloom, and perfect to enjoy all year round with seating dotted throughout.

Weekly cleanings of all dwellings are completed by a dedicated housekeeping team who also look after the entire development. All dwellings are installed with safety pull cords in every room which immediately signal one of our 24-hour on-site staff members, ensuring that help arrives within minutes. There is also a guest suite which can be used for friends and family to stay in!

It is important to note that a significant proportion of the Service Charge relates to items which the prospective purchaser is responsible for in their present home, such as building insurance, building maintenance, gardening, and domestic help.

The lease provides that a transfer premium is payable to Retirement Security on resale of a property. The maximum premium payable is 3% of the sale price depending on the length of time an Owner has lived at the property. Further information is available from the Court Manager.
